About the Founder
Meridian Hill Trade is led by Angelo Gonzalez, a trade compliance specialist whose career spans the government, legal, and logistics sides of U.S. trade remedy work. At the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration, he conducted antidumping and countervailing duty (AD/CVD) proceedings — analyzing company financials, developing case records, and performing on-site verifications of the accuracy of importer and government submissions. He later supported AD/CVD investigations before Commerce at Mayer Brown, one of the country’s leading trade practices, and earlier cleared goods through U.S. ports and advised importers on duty-savings strategies — Section 301 exclusions, tariff engineering, and classification — at Flexport. He holds dual master’s degrees in International Trade & Economic Diplomacy and International Policy & Development from the Middlebury Institute, and is fluent in Spanish.
That combination — knowing how trade-remedy duties are built and defended from inside Commerce, how they’re litigated, and how they clear at the port — is what makes precise, defensible refund analysis possible.
